FIRST DAY

Your personal guide and driver will be waiting for you right next to the passport control to begin your adventure!

9:00 Disembark, go through the customs, meet your guide and start for the comprehensive city tour that will give you an opportunity to see the most famous sights of St.Petersburg such as St. Isaac`s Cathedral, Bronze Horseman (monument to Peter the Great), the Admiralty, Spit of Vassilievsky Island with Rostral Columns, Nevsky prospect, Fine Arts square, Palace square and the Hermitage, Field of Mars, Church on the Spilt Blood, Theatre square and many more. During the city tour you will have stops for picture taking and short walks in the most picturesque and famous venues.
Having seen the major sights, you will proceed with the inside visit to the Peter and Paul Fortress - the birth place of the city. The cornerstone of the Peter and Paul Fortress was laid by Peter the Great on 27th of May (May 16 to the Old Style) in 1703. This date is considered to be the day of foundation of St. Petersburg. You`ll visit the Peter and Paul Cathedral - the first cathedral in St. Petersburg and the famous icon of St.Petersburg sky-line nowadays. It contains burial vaults of the Romanov Family.
 
12:30 Before starting for the next museum, we suggest having lunch at a traditional Russian restaurant for you to get the idea what genuine Russian cuisine is like.

Saint-Petersburg

After lunch you are suggested to visit both the Kazan Cathedral - the main Orthodox Cathedral in Saint-Petersburg, and the St.Nicholas Naval Cathedral ( being a very important naval church not only in our city, but in Russia on the whole, this church has never been closed for a single day, even throughout the Soviet times and the Siege of Leningrad during WW II).

One can hardly say that he visit St. Petersburg without visiting the Hermitage museum - one of the world`s most famous artistic and historic museums housing over 3 mln exhibits in more than 350 halls. A highlight tour of the Hermitage will take you to the reception rooms and throne halls of the Winter Palace (the former official winter-time residence of the Romanov-tsars) as well as to the most famous masterpieces of the West European Art collections (old masters, Impressionists, Postimpressionists).
This visit will provide you a very good idea of the Hermitage treasures.
 
18:00 Return on board the ship
 
Optional: Evening activities: a river and canal boat tour arranged privately for your group, a classic Russian ballet performance, Folk Show "Feel Yourself Russian" or Dinner in a Russian home. You can also opt for an evening walking tour in St.Petersburg downtown or adding more shopping time.

Meet your guide at the ship-side, continue St.Petersburg tours.
The second day of the tour is dedicated to the visit of Peterhof - the former official summer residence of the Russian Tsars also known as the Russian Versailles, the Kingdom of fountains.
Your tour includes an inside visit to the Grand Peterhof Palace and a comprehensive tour of both - Upper and Lower Peterhof fountain gardens Peterhof tour will be followed by a stroll along Nevsky Prospect - the first, major and most famous street in St.Petersburg. You are also welcome to visit a local farmers` market (the one that was once even shown on the Food Channel) - to see how food shopping in Russia goes!
